Majlis Khuddam ul Ahmadiyya or Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association is the male youth auxiliary in the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and is an integral part of it in whichever country the community is established. This auxiliary was founded in 1938 in Qadian, India by the second Caliph of the Ahmadiyya Community Hazrat Mirza Basheer-uddin Mahmood Ahmad Sahib (may Allah be pleased with him) and includes male members between the ages of 15-40 years and has a sub auxiliary called Majlis Atfal ul Ahmadiyya for male children between 7-15 years of age.
The main purpose of creation of this auxiliary was to effectively build the foundation of the youth and make them true servants of Islam and Ahmadiyyat, thus making them leaders of the world both on religious and secular frontiers. In the words of its founder Hazrat Mirza Basheer-uddin Mahmood Ahmad Sahib (may Allah be pleased with him), ” Nations can not be reformed without the reformation of its Youth.”
This auxiliary functions to serve the cause of Islam and Ahmadiyyat and supports the central administration of the community in a country but is directly answerable to Hazrat Khalifatul Masih (may Allah be his helper).
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association in Ireland was registered in 1992 but it was part of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association in United Kingdom on administrative grounds and the male Irish youth were part of the Majlis Khuddam ul Ahmadiyya UK as its Regional Chapter. On the instructions of the fifth Caliph of the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad Sahib (may Allah be his helper), the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association in Ireland was separated from the UK which led to the creation of an independent Majlis Khuddam ul Ahmadiyya in Ireland and an independent President.
The Youth Association has its own constitution and rules of work which are strictly under the instructions of Khilafat e Ahmadiyya. It performs its works through several departments and is currently subdivided into 4 Regions in the country and is led by a President or Sadr Majlis which is elected by members and approved by Hazrat Khalifatul Masih (may Allah be his helper).
The current President is Dr Hamid Ahmed Khan.
